Everything is in the title ! 😉

QUANTA is very proud to announce that the team will be at OroVibe 2017 as a Big Vibe Sponsor, and that Guillaume, co-founder of QUANTA, will hold a conference during the event!

What is OroVibe?

OroVibe is the flagship event dedicated to the new OroCommerce disruptive platform, specially designed for B2B ecommerce websites, which will take place on June 13th 2017, in Paris.

A new kind of event, OroVibe aims at bringing together 250 ecommerce experts, freelancers, final customers, B2B enthusiasts from various countries, …etc. to exchange in a startup-like atmosphere, relaxed and creative, and establish the foundations of an OroCommerce community.

OroCommerce uses open-source technology, so the ecommerce community has the tremendous opportunity to influence the future of the platform.

Therefore, OroVibe is the perfect opportunity to shape tomorrow’s ecommerce.

Quanta, Big Vibe Sponsor

At OroVibe, QUANTA will be well positioned considering we are officially a Big Vibe sponsor!

We therefore join the Dn’D and Synolia Agency as official supporters of this innovative event.

Quanta, Top Speaker

The agenda for the day is made of time of exchanges, and of conferences.

So you’ll be able to sit in comfortable sofas at the OroVibe Studios to interact with other ecommerce experts, as well as participate in various activities offered by NBS System in the Playground.

The overall agenda is available here.

But as I said in the introduction, OroVibe will also be an opportunity for renowned ecommerce experts to present themed conferences. And Guillaume, co-founder of QUANTA, will be amongst these Top Speakers.

He will be hosting a conference on “Managing Web Performance for a faster B2B Experience“.

This conference will be an opportunity to present several use cases of B2B companies and their web performance challenges. Today, analyzing and studying the performance of a B2B ecommerce website are essentials in steering an effective web strategy. Guillaume will talk about the impact of page load times on the final value of the order and will identify the pitfalls of web performance that must be avoided by B2B companies.

Guillaume Thibaux speaker OroVibe

And that’s it for our presentation of OroVibe 2017!

We’ll be waiting for you, and hope to have the opportunity to exchange with you on the future of B2B ecommerce.

With 7 years of existence, Imagine Commerce is undoubtedly one of the main highlights of the e-commerce worldwide season. At Quanta, we go there every year because, beyond being a unique opportunity to interact with our international customers and partners, it is also a good opportunity to take the pulse of the Magento ecosystem “year- To-year “, and get the latest information on the functional evolution of the platform.

Last year, Magento announced the release of its SaaS “Magento Cloud Edition” offer, which has since seen its first launched websites.

This year, among all the exciting keynotes (including Mark Lavelle’s on the need for e-commerce to evolve with the desires of the users), 2 major announcements caught our attention :

  • The launch of a “B2B” mode, to potentially adapt the site to each user.
  • The launch of Magento Social, that aims at linking Facebook with e-commerce platforms.

Magento Digital Commerce Cloud for B2B

Setting up a B2B e-commerce website with Magento was one of the biggest challenges with the platform so far (and some of Quanta’s customers can attest to this). This often required “tweaking” the application by carrying out many expensive and specific developments.

The advantage with this new version of Magento is that you can:

  • Easily connect to an ERP (e.g. Sage or SAP) in real-time.
  • Customize prices for each group of customers. And we all know that it is a very important specificity of the B2B field; the prices and discounts being very often specific to a customer!
  • Automatically edit estimates by offering multiple payment methods, such as bank transfer.

Magento Social

The idea behind Magento Social is to synchronize the information from the product catalog with the social networks, so that you can capitalize on more recommendations (e.g.: “Your friend Anna loves this product … Buy now”) within the existing customer base.

For example, you can:

  • Automatically create paid ads by product.
  • Better track the source of the acquisition of a new buyer arrived by a social network, because the information “source: Facebook” ends up being rather vague. 🙂
  • More effectively transform followers into customers, which is undoubtedly one of the main stakes of a community manager.

Magento Shipping

Magento Shipping is the little icing on the cake of this presentation of new Magento products. 😉 With this new offer, it will now be possible to connect directly with the carrier services of each country, and with tariffs expected to be competitive since they’ll be pre-negotiated by Magento (oh yeah!).

The advantage is quite clear: shipping to one, or more, new countries will become much faster and easier. Enabling the international growth of all Magento stores!

And that’s it for this overview of announcements made during Imagine!

As I’ve announced it on Twitter, QUANTA is at MagentoLive Australia 2016!!!!

It’s a pretty cool conference, with people coming from all around the globe. Many come from different parts of the US (It was good to see those faces from Imagine Commerce! 😉 ), some others come from Asia, and of course… You can hear a lot of OZ accent. 🙂

Even if I love Sydney, the sun and baby koalas, the aim in coming here was to meet our partners, to connect with other technology providers, and of course to continue to spread the word on Performance Analytics, here in Australia!

During this first hectic day, between two meetups and a run through the hallways, I had the chance to attend several great presentations, by Steve YANKOVICH, Mark LAVELLE, and Robert MOORE. So, to give you a little taste of my Australian experience, here are some feedbacks!

Steve Yankovich

CPO, Magento Commerce

steve_yankovich_magentolive_2

Steve Yankovich is the freshly arrived CPO of Magento Commerce. During his conference, he talked about the future of commerce, and how new technologies like A.I. or Predictive Analytics are likely to bring about major changes in the field.  Following this idea, he insisted on the fact that, rather than being a trend follower, Magento’s new direction would be to take a major role in creating the technologies of the future.

And we can clearly see that they’ve already begun their quest for new cutting edge technology. In 2016, Magento acquired RJ Metrics (renamed Magento Analytics) to push further away the boundaries of predictive analysis.

I find this move particularly interesting, considering that we, at QUANTA, strongly share that vision of the future of commerce. For example, last month, we released a predictive business dashboard, giving crucial informations for e-businesses, like the actual turnover that future optimisation of the e-store will bring in the next year.

On this note, we’ll soon do a case study on the results of the utilisation of QUANTA’s predictive dashboard by one of our major clients. So, stay tuned!

Mark Lavelle

CEO, Magento Commerce

mark_lavelle_magentolive_australia

Mark was probably fighting the jetlag as much as we were 😉 But he talked about the steps that Magento took, since they became independent. I admit that Magento is moving forward in an interesting direction, especially in the field of Analytics solutions.

Considering that web performance and predictive analysis are fundamental for the success of e-businesses, you’ll soon find articles on the subject on our blog! 🙂

Robert Moore

Head of Magento Analytics, Magento Commerce

robert_moore_magentolive_australia

Former Founder of RJ Metrics, Robert explained (at a very brisk pace!!) his vision on Analytics. Volumes of data have exploded, and it is more than ever complicated for marketing teams to focus on what matters the most, when they are buried under piles of numbers and pointless analysis.

Today, having the data is useless. The key is to be able to get business owners to focus on the relevant one.

And that’s it for my first day at MagentoLive Australia! I met the Magento Analytics team after the conference, and we definitely share the same vision. It is time to better connect the dots together, and find innovative ways to use the massive volume of data generated by e-commerce.

Bonus: A cute koala!! And yes, he also seems jet-lagged XD
